CJ Mills will be entering his first season on the Lasell University baseball coaching staff in 2025-26, serving as the program’s hitting coach. A Lasell alum, Mills returns to his alma mater after a productive playing career and is excited to help continue building the Lasers baseball program.

Mills is a private baseball instructor at Extra Innings Watertown, working with athletes ranging from youth players to college. He has also served as a travel baseball head coach, coaching multiple high level Boston Prime travel baseball teams since 2023.

As a student-athlete at Lasell, Mills established himself as one of the most accomplished and durable players in program history. He set the school record for longest hitting streak during the 2024 season by hitting safely in 20 consecutive games, then broke his own record in 2025 with a 25-game hitting streak.

Mills finished his career as the program’s all-time leader in walks, ranked second all-time in games played and runs scored, and recorded 127 career hits which is good for sixth best in program history. He also placed in the top ten for home runs, stolen bases and hit by pitch. Mills helped lead the lasers to a record best 25 wins in 2025. He finished the season with a .288 batting average and a .838 OPS. He had 46 hits, 40 runs, 5 home runs, and 13 stolen bases.

Defensively, Mills was as reliable as they come for a center fielder, ranking sixth all-time in career fielding percentage (.982) converting 332 chances out of 338. He also contributed on the mound, logging over 50 career innings pitched and ranking fifth all-time in strikeouts per nine innings.
