2008 NAC FIELD HOCKEY ALL CONFERENCE TEAMS ANNOUNCED

Caitlyn Walker and Tia Pratt were selected to the North Atlantic Conference All-Conference second team. This is the second year in a row that Walker and Pratt have been chosen for the 2nd team All-Conference, as well as Pratt receiving Rookie of the Year honors last season as well. Meagan DeAndrade was also recognized as a honorable mention by the league.

The Lasell College field hockey team completed their 2008 season Thursday, at Framingham State College, with a 0-4 loss to the Rams.

The Lasers dropped two NAC games this weekend, traveling to Maine to take on Husson College and St. Joseph’s (ME). After this weekend’s games, the Lasers are 2-4 in the conference, and seeded fifth in the upcoming North Athlantic Conference tournament, which begins on Wednesday, October 29th.

Caitlyn Walker has been named Field Hockey Player of the Week for the North Atlantic Conference for the first time this season, after recording 6 goals against Elms College on Wednesday, October 8th.

The Lasers fell to the Eagles of Husson College in the NAC quarter finals Wednesday afternoon, in Bangor, Maine. The Eagles won their 6th straight game and advance to the semi finals after the 6-0 win. Lasell is now out of conference tournament play, but will play one final match at Framingham State College to finish their regular season.

Newton, Mass.- Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT), Stephanie Jansen (Glen, NH) and Amy Lentini (Wilmington, MA) led the Lasers to a 6-2 victory over non-conference opponent Daniel Webster College today, on Grellier Field. Walker produced a hat trick, picking up six total points, Jansen finished with five points, on two goals and an assist, while Lentini had one goal and two assists for four total points in the contest.

Lasell College beat Simmons College today in NAC field hockey action at Grellier Field. With this win, the Lasers even their conference record to 2-2 and boosted their overall record to 6-7.

Newton, Mass.- The Warriors of Eastern Connecticut State University came to Grellier Field today to take on the Lasers field hockey team, and edged out a win, 3-2. It was a late goal by Liz Bolduc (Stonington, CT) that closed the game in favor of the Warriors when she scored unassisted to break a 2-2 tie, and seal the victory for Eastern.

Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT) set a career and school record of six goals in a game on Wednesday as the Lasers took home a 9-2 win over the Blazers of Elms College. Walker, a junior forward, is currently leading the Lasers in multiple statistical categories, including points, goals, and game winning goals.

The Lasers' field hockey team traveled to Leicester, Mass. on Thursday to take on the Hawks of Becker College. Though the Lasers had great performances throughout the game, the Hakws defeated the Lasell Lasers 4-2. The Hawks record improves to 4-5 while Lasell drops to 4-6.

For the second consecutive week, Christine Thornton, a freshman goalkeeper from Canton, MA, was recognized for her accomplishments in the field hockey net by the North Atlantic Conference.

The Lasell College Lasers bounced back from a 0-1 loss on Saturday to beat Thomas College in a wet, rainy NAC competition on Grellier Field. Lasell (4-5) outshot Thomas (2-6) by a margin of 22-13 in the game, which ended in a 4-3 victory for the Lasers.
