NEWTON, MA- On Tuesday, February 22nd, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released their 2010 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Team Award. The award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2010-2011 academic year. Lasell College field hockey was amongst those recognized for their academic achievements.

Bangor, ME-- Husson University extended their five-game winning streak with a 6-0 North Atlantic Conference field hockey victory over Lasell College on Saturday. Five Eagles contributed goals to improve Husson’s record to 7-4 (5-1 NAC). In the defeat, the Lasers fall to 5-10 (0-6 NAC).

Castleton, VT—The Lasell College field hockey team was unable to upset North Atlantic Conference preseason favorite Castleton State on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Spartans, 4-1, at Spartan Stadium.
Fitchburg, MA—The Fitchburg State field hockey team took a 5-1 non-conference victory over Lasell College on Thursday evening. Fitchburg enhanced their record to 7-3 overall while the Lasers continue on a three-game slide, for a 4-8 season slate.
Newton, MA— Lasell field hockey dropped a heartbreaking North Atlantic Conference contest, 5-4, to Thomas College on Sunday afternoon at Grellier Field. After trading goals for over 65 minutes of play, Terrier midfielder Kristin Masessa (Montville, ME) tipped in the game-winner to hold the Lasers at bay. With the win, Thomas improves to 4-6 overall, and 2-1 in the NAC, while Lasell drops to 4-7 overall and 0-4 in league play.
Newton, MA— It took two overtime sessions for the University of Maine at Farmington to pull away with a 3-2 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey victory over Lasell College on Saturday afternoon at Grellier Field. The Beavers and the Lasers matched up evenly for over ninety minutes before Emma Deans (Gorham, ME) executed the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute.
Leicester, Mass.- For the second time this season, freshman forward Hillary Joseph (Cranford, NJ) scored the game-winning goal, as the Lasell College field hockey team defeated Becker College, 4-2, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
