FH: Lasers Drop to Hawks in Non-Conference Play
NEWTON, MA.- The Lasers fell to the Roger Williams Hawks 10-1 during a home non-conference game on Grellier Field Wednesday night.
The Hawks netted their first goal just under three minutes into the first quarter off of an Elizabeth Duquette goal to give Roger Williams an early lead in the first. Six and a half minutes later, the Hawks put another ball in the back of the net off an offensive penalty corner goal by Grace Rocheleau, assisted by Abigail Stevens. The Hawks would net three more goals before Lasell put a point on the board in the second quarter off of a Mara Boldy goal. One more Roger Williams goal widened their lead, heading into the second half 6-1.
The second half saw four more goals from the Hawks, with 18 shots and three offensive penalty corners. The Hawks outshot the Lasers 38-7 with seven penalty corners compared to two from the Lasers.
In the net, Courtney Tello had 11 saves for Lasell, while Mckenna Ecker had four.
