Weston, MA- The Lasell University field hockey team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday afternoon, earning a decisive 4-0 victory over Regis College in conference action.
Lasell controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, recording 26 total shots and 19 on goal, while limiting the Pride to just six shots all game.
Junior forward Brooklyn Northcutt opened the scoring in the first quarter, converting a pass from Ruby Weidner at the 13:12 mark. Senior standout Jacquelyn Scopa continued her impressive season with two unassisted goals, one in each of the second and third quarters, bringing her season total to four.
Sophomore Alice Rourke capped the scoring with her first goal of the season in the fourth quarter, assisted by Megan Crabtree.
Lasell's defense was airtight, led by goalkeeper McKenna Ecker, who made two saves in 45 minutes of action. Sophomore Brooke Gaudet closed out the shutout, adding two saves in the final quarter.
