GUITIAN REPEATS ON GNAC, ECAC, & D3HOOPS TEAM OF THE WEEK
Jose Guitian received the nod for Player of the Week from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week once again, for the week ending February 8th, 2009. This is Guitian’s fourth consecutive GNAC Player of the Week recognition and seventh overall acknowledgement this season, his fourth time on the ECAC list, and his third time being honored by D3Hoops.

The 6'10" captain from Miami put up incredible numbers once again, averaging 29.33 points, 18.0 rebounds, 1.67 assists, and 3.33 blocks per game. Guitian had a 24 point, 24 rebounds, and five block performance against Albertus Magnus College to start the week and a 26 point, 18 rebound, and four block showing against Johnson & Wales University. The senior forward finished the week with 38 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists against Emmanuel.
