Newton, MA- The Lasers powered past Anna Maria in an all around dominant performance, winning with final score of 89-73.
Lasell opened the contest on a 9–0 run, capitalizing on early defensive pressure and crisp ball movement. The Lasers dominated the interior in the first half, pulling down 20 rebounds and shooting a blistering 61% to build a 55–41 halftime advantage. Anna Maria struggled to slow the early surge and was unable to generate momentum, keeping Lasell in the lead for the entirety of the match.
Anna Maria showed improvement coming out of the break, finding more rhythm on both ends of the floor and playing Lasell nearly even in the second half. However, the Amcats were limited by eight second-half turnovers, part of 13 total, which Lasell converted into 14 points.
The win was an overall team effort for the Lasers, who posted 39 points off the bench. Lasell was led by senior Quinton Partee, who finished with 20 points. Esmer Madesko followed closely with 17 points and nearly recorded a double-double, finishing with nine rebounds and seven assists. Che Hanks added 14 points, while Tyler Costin provided a spark off the bench with three made three-pointers.
Lasell's efficiency and depth proved decisive, as the team shot 50.7% from the field, 44.0% from three, and outrebounded the Amcats 42–35.
Up Next: The Lasers will be back on their home court this coming Tuesday with a non-conference matchup against Colby College.
