Newton, MA- The Lasell men's basketball team geared up a win against Fitchburg State
The game opened up close, as both sides were eager for posession but Lasell turned in a convincing win, shooting 52.9% from the field and finishing with 88 points behind a balanced scoring attack.
Despite the game being close at halftime, with the Lasers up 38-33, they exploded the second half and slowly left Fitchburg behind. Esmer Madesko led the way with 19 points, while Andy Madesko nearly posted a triple-double, tallying 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists. Che Hanks added 13 points, Quinton Partee Jr. chipped in 12 coming off the bench.Cameron Nell (6 pts, 6 reb) provided strong support inside while RJ Jones contributed 4 points and 5 assists, and Cameron Foster-Martez added 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Team-wide ball movement defined the performance as Lasell recorded 25 assists on 36 made field goals and controlled the interior with efficient scoring and steady rebounding. The Lasers' depth, shooting efficiency, and strong decision-making allowed them to dictate the pace throughout, pulling away from Fitchburg State and securing another win.
