Medford, MA- Lasell hit the road on Saturday afternoon for a tough non-conference matchup at Tufts, falling 87–59 inside Cousens Gym. Lasell moves to 4–5 on the season and continues preparation for the start of GNAC play.
The Lasers came out strong with 32 first-half points and trailed by just seven at the break, but the Jumbos used a big second half to pull away.
Tyler Costin led Lasell with 15 points, knocking down five threes to pace the offense. Andy Madesko turned in a strong all-around performance with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Esmer Madesko added eight points, five boards, and a team-high six assists. Cole Buker chipped in four points on efficient shooting, and the Lasers saw scoring contributions from across the lineup, including five from Che Hanks and five from RJ Jones.
Tufts interior presence proved challenging as the Jumbos outrebounded Lasell 49–34 and shot 48% from the field. Despite the loss, the Lasers showed stretches of strong play and ball movement, finishing with 12 assists and six steals.
Up Next: Lasell will be back in action this coming Tuesday with another non-conference matchup, this time against Wesleyan at 5pm.
