New London, CT- The Lasell University men's soccer team dropped a tough GNAC matchup to Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday afternoon, falling 3–0.
The Lasers came out strong defensively, holding off sustained pressure from the Chargers through much of the opening half. Goalkeeper Avry Dorocha was sharp between the posts, making several key saves to keep the match level. However, Colby-Sawyer broke through in the 33rd minute, taking a 1–0 lead into the halftime break.
The Chargers doubled their advantage midway through the second half on a penalty kick, then added another goal just minutes later to seal the result at 0-3. Despite the deficit, Lasell continued to fight, generating late offensive opportunities from Emilio Magdon and Daniel Faynstein, but were unable to convert.
Up Next- The Lasers will be back in action hosting Albertus Magnus on Wednesday October 15th at 3:00PM.
