MTrack: Lasers Compete at Monks Invitational
Standish, ME - The Lasell Lasers Men's Track and Field team competed at the Monks Invitational this weekend at Saint Joseph's (ME) Athletic Complex. The Lasers finished in 10th place out of 17 teams with 19 points.
As has been the case for a majority of the season, the throwers were the stars of the day. Jeffrey Serrano Sanchez set two new PRs in the Hammer Throw (25.33m) and the Discus (22.91m). Connor Parker also competed in the Hammer Throw, finishing eighth with a mark of 29.50m.
On the Track, Jordan Woodley was kept busy, setting a PR in the 110m Hurdles event with a time of 18.69s, good for sixth. He also put up a time of 1:06.73 in the 400m Hurdles, which placed him in eighth. Aditionally, he was a part of the 4x100m relay team that placed fourth with a time of 46.23s. Joining him on that team was Kadeem Ambroise, Ben Abely, and Max Corson. Ambroise finished fourth in the 400m Dash with a time of 52.70s, while Corson posted a season best 12.27s in the 100m Dash. Abely was also in the 100m Dash, placing sixth with a time of 11.86s. Additionally, he set a new PR in the Javelin with a throw of 32.31m. Also posting a new PR in that event was William Berry, as he posted a mark of 34.09m.
Michael Curran posted a PR in the 1500m run, running the race in 4:56.12. He also posted a time of 2:15.96 in the 800m Run. Zachary Kirsch finished eighth in the Triple Jump, posting a mark of 11.27m.
Up Next - The Lasers will compete at the at Regis Pre-Conference Meet next Saturday.
