Newton, MA – Lasell men's volleyball claimed a 3-1 victory over Emmanuel College in a thrilling match at the Athletic Center on Tuesday afternoon. The match, which was hard-fought throughout, saw Lasell come out on top with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-22, and 25-19, improving their overall record to 9-1. Emmanuel, despite a strong showing, fell to 5-4 on the season.
The game opened with Lasell's offense leading the charge. In the first set, Lasell took control early, dominating with a .522 attack percentage. Emmanuel struggled to find rhythm, and Lasell capitalized to take the opening set 25-16.
Emmanuel rebounded in the second set, improving their attack percentage to .406, and gave Lasell a run for their money. Despite Emmanuel's fight, Lasell held on to win 25-23, taking a commanding 2-0 lead.
In the third set, both teams exchanged momentum, but Lasell's consistent play ultimately proved too much, winning the set 25-22. The final set saw Lasell finish strong, with key performances from players such as Jasper Schultz, who registered 13 kills and 9 digs, and Teddy Teraszkiewicz, who contributed 11 kills and 4 assists. Lasell's offense remained efficient, finishing with a .300 team attack percentage, while Emmanuel struggled to find consistency in the latter stages of the match.
