MVB: Lasell Powers Past Endicott 3-1
Beverly, MA- Lasell claimed a hard-fought victory over Endicott College, winning 3-1 in their latest match. The win pushes Lasell's record to 19-5 overall and 9-1 in the Great North Conference, while Endicott falls to 11-11 on the season and 3-2 in the New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC).
The match was a close one, with Lasell edging out Endicott in the first set 25-22. Endicott responded in the second set with a 25-17 victory, evening the match at 1-1. However, Lasell rebounded in the third set, securing a 32-30 win after a hard-fought battle, and closed out the match in the fourth set, 25-22, to clinch the victory.
Lasell's offense was led by Theo Zaharewicz, who put up an impressive 17 kills and six errors on 43 attempts, finishing with 18 points for the match. Teddy Teraszkiewicz also contributed significantly, tallying 11 kills and eight errors on 28 attempts for 14.5 points. Benjamin Walinjom's ten kills and four errors on 27 attempts also played a key role in Lasell's offensive success.
In terms of serve and defense, Lasell totaled 44 digs and 20 blocks, showing a solid all-around performance. Trystan Maloney played a vital role in the backcourt with 42 assists, helping facilitate the team's offensive flow. The team also put up a strong serve performance, recording ten service aces in the match.
