MVB: Lasers Beat Adrian College 3-1

Newton, MA- The Lasell University men's volleyball team took a commanding victory against Adrian College 3-1 on Friday evening. 

The Lasell men's volleyball team battled through four competitive sets, finishing the match with a 3-1 victory. Lasell recorded 45 kills on 110 total attacks for a .227 hitting percentage, highlighted by efficient performances in Sets 1 (.281), 2 (.400), and 4 (.348). After dropping momentum in Set 3, where the team hit .000, the Lasers regrouped to close the match with their second-highest single-set kill total in the fourth frame.

Individually, Jasper Schultz led all attackers with 14 kills on 32 swings while adding 3 service aces and 17.5 points. Matthew Mitko followed with an efficient 12 kills on 21 attempts, hitting a team-best .429. Branch Barnes contributed a well-rounded performance, tallying 9 kills, 18 assists, and 2 block assists, while Ryan Tierney chipped in 5 kills. At the net, Nathaniel Cobuzzi anchored the blocking effort with one solo block and 4 block assists, as Lasell finished with 14 total team blocks. Defensively, Ryan Mesnik paced the back row with 12 digs, while Micah Nakasato added 23 assists, and 6 digs to guide the offense.
