MVB: Lasell Sweeps Nichols 3-0

Newton, MA- The Lasell University men's volleyball team sweeped Nichols College 3-0 on Tuesday evening.

The Lasers took the first set 25-22, the second 25-16, and the third 25-20. Lasell put together a strong all-around performance to secure the sweep. The Lasers controlled the tempo throughout the match, combining efficient offense with steady distribution and balanced attacking. Jasper Schultz led the way offensively with 11 kills and a .233 hitting percentage, consistently finding gaps in the defense. Paten Buckwalter added 8 kills while hitting an efficient .333, and Cole Esterline was especially effective, posting 6 kills on a match-high .625 hitting percentage. Matthew Mitko and Remy Cahalan also contributed 5 and 4 kills, respectively, helping Lasell maintain offensive pressure across all three sets.

The offense was directed by Trystan Maloney, who dished out 16 assists, while Branch Barnes added 14 assists along with 3 kills of his own. Ryan Mesnik chipped in 4 assists, showcasing Lasell's balanced and versatile system.
