Nashua, NH- The Lasers faced Rivier University, winning 3-1 on Tuesday evening. They took set 1: 25-19, and set 2: 25-16. They lost set 3: 27-25 but came back in set 4: 25-11 to win the match 3-1.
Lasell turned in an efficient offensive performance, hitting .347 as a team across four sets. They were especially sharp in Set 4, posting a match-best .478 hitting percentage, and stayed consistent early with marks above .370 in the first two sets.
Leading the way was Jasper Schultz with 16 kills, while Teddy Teraszkiewicz added 12 on a .333 hitting percentage. Remy Cahalan was extremely efficient, finishing with 10 kills on just 16 attempts for a .625 clip, and Branch Barnes contributed 7 kills while also dishing out 17 assists. Trystan Maloney ran the offense well with a team-high 23 assists, helping Lasell total 47 as a group.
At the service line, Lasell recorded 12 aces, getting multiple from Schultz, Teraszkiewicz, and Barnes, though 19 service errors showed some inconsistency. Defensively, the team totaled 32 digs, led by Ryan Mesnik's 9, while adding 4 total blocks.
