Lasers Finish Fourth at Elms College Invitational
Chicopee, MA-- Two Lasell mens cross country runners placed in the top 25 at the Elms Blazer Invitational on Saturday afternoon, guiding the Lasers to a 4th place finish at Chicopee Memorial State Park. Miguel Taveras (Lawrence, MA) came in 20th place overall and Raymon Donis (Raynham, MA) took home 24th place.
Chicopee, MA-- Two Lasell men's cross country runners placed in the top 25 at the Elms Blazer Invitational on Saturday afternoon, guiding the Lasers to a 4th place finish at Chicopee Memorial State Park. Miguel Taveras (Lawrence, MA) came in 20th place overall and Raymon Donis (Raynham, MA) took home 24th place.
Johnson & Wales University placed four runners in the top five in the men's race to help pace their team to victory in the men's 8-kilometer race. The Wildcats posted a team score of 20 to claim top honors with University of New England placing second with a combined score of 47. American International College (AIC) finished third with 79 points and Lasell College tallied 120 points to finish fourth.
Taveras crossed the finish line first for the Lasers in a time of 32:15 while Donis was just 15 seconds behind him. Freshman Charlie Dilella (Branford, CT) was the third Laser to clock in at 34:41, in 35th place overall.
Mikhail Krevosky (Oxford, MA) and David Kananowitz (North Monmouth, ME) came in one-after-another in 39th and 40th place respectively. Krevorsky registered a finishing time of 35:44 and Kananowitz ended three seconds later.
Grant Vantine (Fitchburg, MA) and Michael Isherwood (Warwick,RI) came in 42nd and 44th in the race and rounded out the final Lasers in the meet. Vantine finished the race in 36 minutes and three seconds and Isherwood was 13 seconds behind him.
Lasell's next race will be the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College on Saturday, October 2nd.
