Men's Cross Country Places 3rd at GNAC Championships

STANDISH, Maine (10/31/15) – The Lasell College men's cross country team finished 3^rd overall with 84 points in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship race on Saturday afternoon at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. 

Placing first for the Lasers and 15^th overall was senior Jeremy Shriber (Monroe Valley, N.Y.) finishing at 29:43 – a personal record for the veteran on the Monks' course. Sophomore Nick Garifalos (Spotswood, N.J.) finished just behind Shriber at 29:50, while freshman Jeremy Phelps rounded out the pack at 30:13.

Freshman Ryan Dalaba (North Granville, N.Y.) took third for the Lasers at 30:47 shaving off 1:26 from his last showing on the Monks' territory. Freshman Kyle Vonick also improved from his last race at SJC, and clocked in at 31:16. Freshman Cameron Wiewel and senior Patrick Sponzo (Windsor, Conn.) trickled in next, both finishing the course in 31:21.
