XC: Lasers Compete at Hopkinton XC Festival

Hopkinton, MA- Lasell University's men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2025 Hopkinton Cross Country Festival on Saturday, facing a strong field of NCAA Division II and III athletes on a challenging course.

The men's team was led by freshman Caleb Ruch, who finished with a time of 27:15.2 in the 8K race, securing 42nd place. Senior Juan Susa followed, crossing the line in 29:26.2 for 80th place. Seniors Jordan Woodley and Evan Lewis completed the scoring with times of 36:38.6 and 39:34.4 respectively.

On the women's side, sophomore Ella Meeker once again led the Lasers, finishing the 5-kilometer course in a time of 20:58.0, placing 24th overall out of a field of nearly 100 runners. Meeker's consistent pace and strong second half pushed her ahead of multiple GNAC rivals and marked one of her best performances of the season. She was joined by Paige Helferich, who completed the course in 25:43.4, and Victoria El-Azem, who followed closely behind in 25:51.5. 

Up Next: The Lasers are now full steam ahead heading into the GNAC Cross Country Championships on November 2nd.
