Game 2
Weston, MA- The Lasell University softball team traveled across town to Regis College for another GNAC double-header matchup.
Game 1-
Lasell opened the day with a 6–2 loss in Game 1, struggling to generate consistent offense despite a few strong individual efforts at the plate.
The Lasers were limited to six hits, with Adreanna Ventullo leading the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance and driving in the team's lone RBI. Abigail Fortin and Madalen Brown each crossed the plate for Lasell's two runs, while Fortin and Ventullo also accounted for the team's extra-base hits with doubles. Sophie Arena added a hit and a stolen base, but the offense overall couldn't string together enough opportunities, leaving four runners on base.
In the circle, Shyanne Raccio went the distance, tossing all six innings while allowing seven hits and six runs. She struck out six but battled control issues, issuing five walks and throwing three wild pitches, which contributed to the Pride's ability to capitalize on scoring chances.
Game 2-
The Lasers came back with a strong all-around performance in Game 2, earning a 5–1 win.
Fortin was in control from start to finish, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run on seven hits. She worked efficiently through seven innings, striking out three and limiting damage with solid command, improving to 5–5 on the season.
Offensively, Lasell produced 10 hits and did most of its damage in key moments. Ventullo led the way with a 2-for-3 performance, scoring a run and driving in another, while Emily Stilwell delivered the biggest swing of the game with a three-RBI effort, going 2-for-3 at the plate. Arena also chipped in with two hits, and Emma Tarleton reached base twice, scoring a run and executing a sacrifice. Defensively, Lasell was steady throughout, with the lone blemish being an error at second base, but it had little impact thanks to Fortin's ability to work out of trouble.
Up Next- Lasell will be back in action on April 11, hosting Norwich.
