Carla Flaherty has been hired by the Lasell College Athletic Department to fill the position of Head Womens Basketball Coach and Athletic Administrator.
NEWTON, MA- The Lasell College mens and womens basketball teams, in conjunction with the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), raised $400.00 in an effort to support two community causes during the month of February. The Lasers first hosted two basketball contests to raise money and awareness in support of Haiti after two earthquakes hit and devastated the island country. The second fundraising effort was in support of the WBCA Pink Zone global initiative to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
NEWTON, MA- The Lasell College womens basketball teams 2009-2010 season came to an end on Senior Day, with a 75-42 loss to the Sharks of Simmons College. Lasells sole senior, forward Tricia Culver (Northampton, MA) scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds in her final performance for the Blue & White.
PROVIDENCE, RI- The Lasell College womens basketball team fell to Johnson & Wales University, 68-58, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at the Harborside Recreation Center.
Newton, MA-- St. Josephs College of Maine prevailed over Lasell College, 67-39, on Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest. Lasells record falls to 7-16 overall, and 3-7 in the GNAC, and St. Josephs boosted their overall record to 12-11 and 6-4 in the GNAC.
Newton, MA- Lasell College took down the Gators of Pine Manor College, 82-51, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference womens basketball play, Tuesday night at the Lasell Athletic Center. Senior forward Tricia Culver (Northampton, MA) scored a game-high 18 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds, dishing six assists and making five steals in the contest, as the Lasers improved their record to 7-15 this season.
Boston,MA- Lasells womens basketball team fell to the Suffolk University Rams, 63-48, on Saturday afternoon. The Rams picked up their fifth win in a row as they improve to 12-8 on the season, and 6-3 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, while the Lasers fall to a 6-15 season record and 2-6 in the league.
Northfield, VT- The Norwich University womens basketball team eased by the Lasell College Lasers, Wednesday night, 78-51, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The league-leading Cadets are now 6-1 in the GNAC, while the Lasers drop to 2-5.
Newton, MA- The Lasers produced a big GNAC women's basketball victory today on their home court, flying by the Blue Jays of St. Joseph College of Connecticut, 77-51.
Nashua, NH The Raiders of Rivier College came away with a 14 point GNAC victory, 72-58, against Lasell College tonight.
Newton, MA- Lasell College picked up a, 63-51, non-conference womens basketball victory over Curry College on Tuesday evening at the Lasell Athletic Center. The Lasers improved their overall record to 5-12 and the Colonels dropped their slate to 6-11.
Boston, MA- Emerson College took an 87-55 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory from Lasell College in womens basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Piano Row Gymnasium. The Lions have evened out their record to 8-8 overall, 3-1 in the GNAC, and the Lasers finish the day with a 4-12 slate and a 1-3 conference record.
Newton, MA- The Trinity College Bantams triumphed, 87-60, in a non-conference contest against Lasell College in womens basketball action on Wednesday night. The Bantams were led by Michelle Royals (Torrington, CT) who put up a team-best 14 points while the Lasers were led by junior guard Katie Farr (Rindge, NH) who tallied a game-high 19 points.
Newton, MA- Kim Archibald (Lewiston, ME) led the Lasers with a 12 point, 12 rebound performance but it was the Albertus Magnus Falcons who pushed for a 71-50 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory tonight at the Lasell College Athletic Center. The Lasers finished the day with a 4-10 overall record while the Falcons boost their slate to 5-9.
Newton, MA- Lasell women's basketball fought a hard battle with the Framingham State Rams but came up short, 57-52, in the final moments of tonight's non-conference matchup.
Newton, MA- The Emmanuel College Saints produced a 67-35 victory over the Lasell College Lasers tonight in Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The Saints improved their overall record to 10-3, while the Lasers fell to 4-8 this season.
