Lauver Earns GNAC Rookie of the Week Honors in Women's Hoops
Lasell College freshmen women's basketball player Molly Lauver was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's basketball Rookie of the Week following her performance in a pair of games last week.
Newton, Mass. (01/14/13) - Lasell College freshmen women's basketball player Molly Lauver (Cambridge, N.Y.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's basketball Rookie of the Week following her performance in a pair of games last week.
Lauver helped Lasell to a 1-1 week, including a 65-47 victory over Johnson & Wales in the Lasers' conference opener. Against the Wildcats, the rookie scored a career-high 33 points, shooting 12-20 from the floor and an impressive 6-7 from three-point land. She finished with 10 points on 4-7 shooting and four rebounds as the Lasers dropped a 68-67 overtime contest at New England College.
The first-year guard currently ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage at 53% from the floor, and second in the league in three point shooting percentage, knocking down trifectas at a 45.7% clip in 10 games this season.
