Molly Fitzgerald Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

Newton, Mass. - Lasell College freshmen women's soccer player Molly Fitzgerald was honored as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for her play this past week. Fitzgerald scored a pair of goals in a 2-0 week for the Lasers, netting the only goal in her side's 1-0 victory over Mount Ida, and adding a goal in a 5-1 victory over Suffolk University.
Fitzgerald, from Haverhill, Mass. has scored five goals in eight games thus far during the 2012 campaign while also adding an assist. Lasell is 7-1 overall and 5-0 in GNAC play, and the seven wins through their first eight matches accounts for the best start in the program's history.
