NASHUA, N.H. (9/16/17) – The Lasell women's soccer team added three goals in each half to blank Rivier University, 6-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Saturday afternoon at Raider Field.
Senior Casey Meissner (Sandwich, Mass.) scored two goals in the effort, including the ice-breaker in the 8th minute of play. Morgan Pinksten (Pelham, N.H.), Carly Zdanek (Newton, N.J.), and Erika Badger (Scituate, Mass.) all got on the board for the winning team as well, while Sophia DiPlacido (Hudson, Mass.) scored her first goal in a Lasell uniform in the 38th minute.
The Lasell defense allowed just one shot from the Raiders, as Sarah LaClair (Belchertown, Mass.) moves to 3-3 overall. Hayden Wheeler (Tiverton, Mass.) backed up LaClair in 14:57 minutes of relief, while Raider Lauren Goodspeed took the loss in net despite seven saves for the home team.
Lasell returns to action on Tuesday when they host the Pride of Springfield College, with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m.
