Newton, MA – The Lasell University women's soccer team earned their first conference victory of the season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Regis College on Saturday afternoon.
The opening half was marked by strong defensive play from both squads. Regis managed nine shots to Lasell's six, but neither side could break through, sending the teams into halftime in a scoreless tie.
The decisive moment came early in the second half following a Lasell corner kick. Camdyn LaMarre took the set piece quickly, catching the Regis defense off guard and connecting with Brooke Bell, who fired a left-footed shot into the net to put the Lasers up 1-0.
Lasell's backline held firm the rest of the way, and goalkeeper Elizabeth DaSilva made six saves to secure the shutout victory.
Up Next: The Laser's will host their second conference matchup against Rivier on Saturday, Sept 20 at 12:00pm.
