Northfield, VT- The Lasell University women's soccer team notched their second conference win of the season in a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Norwich University on Wednesday.
Brianna Marrero opened the scoring for the Lasers in the 42nd minute, converting a penalty kick with a shot inside the right post to give Lasell a 1–0 lead heading into halftime.
Both teams continued to battle through the second half, but it was Lasell who struck next. In the 63rd minute, Camdyn LaMarre delivered a highlight-worthy goal—launching a right-footed strike from 19 yards out on the left side that rocketed into the top right corner off a quick throw-in.
Norwich responded in the 78th minute with a well-placed header from Kat Probst off a corner kick, bringing the Cadets within one. Despite their late push, the Lasers' defense held strong to preserve the win.
Lasell controlled the pace throughout, outshooting Norwich 9–6 and holding a 5–3 advantage in corner kicks. Defensively, the Lasers limited the Cadets to just two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Elizabeth DaSilva earned her third win of the season, recording one save over the full 90 minutes.
Up Next: Lasell will be back on the road this coming Saturday, in a pivotal conference matchup against Saint Josephs College (ME).
