Peck Leads the Way for Women’s Track and Field
Solange Carpenter set a new Lasell College record in the 400m run and Sam Peck put together twp strong performances in the long and triple jump to lead the way for the Lasers.
Newton - Sophomore Sam Peck put together a couple of strong performances in the long jump and triple jump to help the Lasell College women's track and field team to a 9th place finish at the University of Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday January 28th. Peck posted a 5th place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 10.8 meters, while also turning in a jump of 4.82 meters, good for 7th place in the long jump.
Sophomore Solange Carpenter recorded a new Lasell College record in the women's 400m run with a time of 1:05.77, also a new personal record for her. Senior Meghan Missett set a new personal record in the mile run with a time of 6:12.39.
Sophomore Chelsea Zeig continued her strong return to the circle with a throw of 9.87 meters earning her 12th place overall, while fellow sophomore Kendall Logsdon posted a distance of 9.88 meters in the women's triple jump/
The women's track and field team will continue their season next weekend when they travel to the Smith Tartan Invitational on Saturday February 4th.
