LASERS REMAIN ON STREAK AS THEY SWEEP TRI-MATCH

The Lasers hosted and swept a GNAC tri-match today against Albertus Magnus College and St. Joseph's College (ME).  Lasell is currently on a four game winning streak, and picked up two conference wins today raising their league record to 4-5.

In the opening match, Lasell faced the Monks of St. Joseph's College, Maine.  The Lasers closed out the match in just three games, 25-8, 25-13, 25-9.  Senior, captain Kelsey Schmidt (Ballston Spa, NY) was a force at the net for the Lasers with a game high 11 kills.  Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) was setting Schmidt up for those kills and had 25 assists in the three sets.  Junior libero Amanda Major (Southbury, CT) continued her defensive prowess on the court, picking up 12 digs over the match.

During the second match of day, the Monks took on the Falcons of Albertus Magnus College. The Falcons held on and fought in the first two sets, losing 12-25 in each of those games, but the Monks finished off the Falcons easily in game three by scores of 25-8.

The final match paired the Falcons and the Lasers, and once again the Lasers prevailed in three sets.  Albertus Magnus was no match for Lasell, and the Lasers dominated each set 25-6, 25-8, and 25-5. 

Once again Crozier produced an impressive offense, picking up 15 assists in the match.  Schmidt went an impressive 8-11 hitting with only one error, and Major dug up an additional 9 balls for the Lasers.

The Lasers play next at Salve Regina on Wednesday, October 22nd, at 7:00 p.m.
