Lasers Sweep the Lynx, 3-0
The Lasers womens volleyball team swept the Lynx of Lesley University tonight in non-conference match on their home court. Freshman Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME) was a force for the Lasers in their first win of the season with 7 kills, 2 aces, and 3 total blocks. Fellow first year, Jenna-Lynn Geary (Marion, MA) also had a big night, collecting 3 kills, 2 aces, 15 digs, and 1 block.

In the first set, neither team had a decided advantage, each gaining the lead at different points of the game. The Lasers finished the set by a narrow 3 point advantage, at 25-22. The second and third sets belonged to Lasell though, as they took both games easily, finishing the second set 25-17 and the third 25-6.
The Lasers also saw an impressive performance by junior, libero Amanda Major (Southbury, CT) who picked up 12 digs. Kayla Binette (Biddeford, ME) and Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) each saw time as the team's setter, coming up with 13 assists between them.
The Lasers are now 1-3 and will travel to Plymouth State University this weekend to the Days Inn Invitational. Lasell plays Plymouth State on Friday, September 12th, at 4:00 p.m., and then takes on Newbury College , Saturday, September 13th, at 9:00 a.m.
