SEAHAWKS SNAP LASERS WINNING STREAK
The Lasell College womens volleyball team held Salve Regina to three close sets on Wednesday night, but could not push through to win against the Seahawks. The Lasers lost 0-3 at the Rodgers Recreation Center, in non-conference action.

The Lasers had been on a four match winning streak prior to meeting with the Seahawks, who took the match 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.
The Lasers stayed close with the Seahawks throughout each set. Senior Kelsey Schmidt (Ballston Spa, NY) producing the majority of the Lasers offense at the net. Schmidt was 11 for 27 in the match, also picking up 3 block assists.
Rookie middle hitter Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME) also played aggressive at the net, putting down 7 kills. Drapeau also had 4 digs, 4 service aces, and 1.5 blocks against Salve.
Melanie Costa (Ludlow, MA) came up with a team high 21 digs, with Amanda Major (Southbury, CT) and Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) close behind her, finding 18 dug balls each. Jenna -Lynn Geary (Marion, MA) was also dominant on defense with 16 digs.
Crozier continues to set up the offense for the Lasers, handling the role of setter with ease. Crozier dished out 20 assists in the three set match.
The Lasers are back in action on Friday, traveling to neighboring Regis College to face the Pride at 7:00 p.m.
