Lasers Top Lynx, 3-0

Cambridge, MA-- Lasell College women's volleyball swept Lesley University, 3-0, on Thursday night at Nicholas Athletics Center.  

The Lasers made only two hitting errors in the first and third sets combined en route to a .338 team attack percentage for the night (32 kills, 5 errors, 80 total attempts).  After winning the first game, 25-12, Lasell waffled a bit in the second set to force extra points before beating the Lynx, 27-25.  The Lasers settled into the third set to seal the match with a 25-14 win. 

Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME) led the squad with nine kills, recording zero errors, and hitting a .692 clip.  Alexis Chappell (Springfield, MA) and Sara Biondo (Coventry, RI) added five kills a piece.  

On defense, Marissa Visocchi (Whitman, MA) scrounged up 11 digs while senior setter Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) added seven digs and put up 26 assists. 

Lasell (10-14, 2-3 GNAC) will return home on Saturday, October 15th for a GNAC trimatch with Saint Joseph College of Connecticut and Rivier.  The Lasers will face the Blue Jays at 10:00 a.m. and the Raiders at 2:00 p.m.
