Emerson Snaps Lasers Three Match Winning Streak in Women's Volleyball
The Lasell College womenâs volleyball team had a three match winning streak snapped by Emerson College, losing in three sets, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-20.
Newton, Mass. – The Lasell College women's volleyball team had a three match winning streak snapped by Emerson College, losing in three sets, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-20. Emerson improves to 10-7 on the season and 4-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, while Lasell fall to 4-15 overall and 4-2 in the GNAC.
Alexis Chappell (Springfield, Mass.) led the way for Lasell with seven kills, with Anna Feeter (Peterborough, N.H.) tallying four kills. Alyssa Nahigian (Coventry, R.I.) dished out 16 assists, while Jordan Seid (Rowland Heights, Calif.) keyed the Lasell defense with nine digs.
Alyssa Thorne (Pittsburgh, Penn.) paced the Lions with nine kills, while Kat Rice (Delmar, N.Y.) chipped in seven kills and Juliana Tucker (Encino, Calif.) added five kills to go along with 25 assists. Jamie Morgan (Maple Glen, Penn.) totaled 18 digs for Emerson, and getting help from Giuli Frendak (Warrington, Penn.) and Brandy Eggermann (Sauk Village, Ill.) who each tallied 10 digs.
Lasell will be heading on the road this Saturday October 6th for a GNAC tri-match with Rivier University and St. Joseph's of Connecticut. Emerson will be back in action on Monday October 8th when they visit Rivier University for a GNAC tri-match with Emmanuel College.
