Newton, MA- The Lasell University women's volleyball team turned in a dominant day at home on Saturday, sweeping both Dean College and Norwich University in straight sets at the Lasell Athletic Center. With the two wins the Lasers climb to 10-1 in conference play.
Lasell vs Dean
Lasell controlled the match from the start, hitting a blistering .632 in the opening set and finishing the day with an impressive .347 team attack percentage. The Lasers also out-blocked Dean 13–4 and tallied eight service aces.
Leading the charge for Lasell was junior middle hitter Morgan Bogli, who recorded 11 kills on a .625 hitting percentage, along with five service aces and four block assists for a match-high 13 points. Senior middle Victoria Pariseault added seven kills and six block assists for 11.5 points, while senior outside hitter Michelle French contributed six kills on a .444 clip.
Setter Sydney Katz directed the offense with 30 assists and chipped in six digs and two block assists. Defensive specialist Madeline Caro added three service aces and eight digs to round out a strong all-around effort.
Lasell vs Norwich
Lasell was dominant from the opening serve, hitting an astounding .722 in the first set and finishing the match with a .549 team hitting percentage. The Lasers' offense rolled behind strong serving and a well-balanced attack, tallying 15 aces and 12 team blocks while holding Norwich to a –.326 hitting percentage.
Leading the way was junior outside hitter Shantte Siliezar, who delivered a near-perfect performance with 8 kills on 9 swings (.889), 6 service aces, and 5 digs, totaling a match-high 14.5 points. Senior setter Saige Cambonga-Meyers ran the offense efficiently, recording 20 assists, 3 aces, and 4 digs.
Junior middle Kyra Paris added 5 kills (.500) and 3 block assists, while sophomore opposite Alexyss Chartier contributed 6 kills, 1 ace, and 2 block assists. Sophomore defensive specialist Ariana Regala notched 4 aces and 3 digs, and libero Analee Ronas anchored the back row with 7 digs.
As a team, Lasell committed just five attack errors across three sets and allowed only 21 total points to Norwich — one of the most dominant defensive performances of the season.
