Newton, MA- The Lasell University women's volleyball team continued its impressive run with a dominant 3–0 sweep over UMass Boston on Wednesday afternoon at the Lasell Athletic Center in Newton. The Lasers improved to 19–3 overall and 10–1 in conference play, while the Beacons dropped to 13–11 and 5–2.
Lasell controlled the opening set from start to finish, winning 25–10 behind a balanced attack led by Trinity Silva and Victoria Pariseault. The second set proved to be the most competitive of the match, as UMass Boston battled back and pushed the Lasers deep into extra points. However, Lasell held its composure and came away with a 31–29 victory to take a commanding two-set lead. The Lasers sealed the sweep with a convincing 25–16 win in the third.
Silva led the way for Lasell with 10 kills, three blocks, and two service aces for a match-high 15.5 points. Pariseault was highly efficient on the attack, hitting .500 with seven kills and four block assists. Setter Sydney Katz distributed the offense effectively, finishing with 23 assists and three aces, while Andrea Aceituno added seven kills and nine digs. Morgan Bogli contributed across the board with four kills, five service aces, and solid defensive play. Holding down the Lasers back line was Madeline Caro, who chipped in 10 digs.
