Newton, MA- The Lasers posted a dominant 3-0 win over the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College to advance to the GNAC Semifinals this coming Thursday evening.
Lasell jumped to a commanding 25–7 win, leveraging early momentum and dominating both at the net and in transition. The Chargers attempted to regroup in the second set and made adjustments, narrowing the gap and making it more competitive, but Lasell held on to claim the set 25–21. In the third set, the Chargers showed more fight and challenged the Lasers down the stretch, but Lasell closed out the match with a 26–24.
Outside hitter Trinity Silva led the Lasers with 12 kills, hitting .364 while adding four digs and contributing to two blocks. Victoria Pariseault was nearly flawless, recording 10 kills on 15 swings without an error for a .667 hitting percentage. Shantte Siliezar also powered the attack with nine kills, while Morgan Bogli added eight kills and three service aces.
Running the offense, setter Sydney Katz dished out 33 assists and chipped in seven digs, two aces, and three total blocks. Defensively, Lasell totaled 37 digs and 12 team blocks, with contributions up and down the lineup. As a team, Lasell hit .345 for the match with 43 kills and nine service aces, while limiting the Chargers to just .033 hitting efficiency.
