BB: Lasers Sweep Albertus in GNAC Play

Melrose, MA- The Lasell University baseball team went 2-0 against Albertus Magnus on Saturday in a GNAC double-header matchup. 

Game 1- 

Lasell held on for a 6–5 win in Game 1. The offense produced 11 hits, led by Declan Silva, who had a standout game, hitting a grand slam to keep the Lasers in the game. Tim Callahan added two hits and an RBI, while Nick Nigro contributed two hits, including a double, and drove in a run. Additional hits from Jonah Nielsen, Braelen Silva, and Connor Freitas helped keep the lineup productive throughout.

On the mound, Ty Lohsen started and allowed two runs over three innings. Benjamin Conlon handled the middle innings, striking out four, before Jeremy Wacker shut the door with 1.2 scoreless innings to earn the win.

Game 2- 

Lasell completed the sweep with a strong 10–6 win in Game 2.  The lineup erupted for 15 hits, with Jonah Nielsen leading the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance and an RBI. Braelen Silva added two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, while Connor Freitas also had three hits and an RBI. Calvin Sanft chipped in with two RBIs, and Nick Nigro added two hits and a run driven in as Lasell's offense stayed consistent throughout.

On the mound, Chase Supan struck out six over four innings in the start. Derrick Dellea earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief, while Jeremy Wacker also contributed a clean inning out of the bullpen to help secure the victory.

Up Next- The Lasers will be back in action on Friday April 3, facing Elms College.
