Northfield, VT- The Lasell University baseball team traveled to Norwich for a GNAC double-header matchup on Saturday afternoon and went 1-1
Game 1-
A well-rounded offensive effort and a strong start on the mound powered the Lasers to a 6-4 victory in Game 1.
The offense made the most of its opportunities, scoring six runs on eight hits while drawing four walks. Declan Silva set the tone at the top, reaching base twice and scoring a run while adding an RBI. Tim Callahan delivered a big day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and driving in two runs.
Calvin Sanft continued the production with a two-hit performance and an RBI, while Jeremy Angeles came through in a key spot with a clutch two-run hit to help build the lead. Braelen Silva added to the pressure by scoring twice, and Nick Nigro showed patience with two walks to keep innings alive.
On the mound, Ty Lohsen put together a strong outing, going six innings and striking out seven to earn the win. Despite allowing 10 hits, he limited the damage and worked out of trouble when needed. Jeremy Wacker shut the door in the seventh, tossing a clean inning to secure the save.
Game 2-
Game 2 turned into a tight battle, but a late push by the Cadets handed Lasell a tough 6–5 loss.
Lasell's offense produced five runs on eight hits, with timely contributions throughout the lineup. Angeles delivered the biggest swing, driving in three runs on a 2-for-3 day to lead the team. Connor Freitas added a strong performance as well, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Braelen Silva chipped in two hits, a run scored, and an RBI. At the top, Declan Silva reached base twice, scored two runs, and added a stolen base to help spark the offense.
On the mound, Chase Supan set the tone early with four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five, though control issues led to six walks. Benjamin Conlon followed with a solid stretch but surrendered three runs, and Lucas Stogner worked out of a short jam to keep things close heading into the late innings. The game unraveled in the final frame, as Norwich broke through against Jeremy Wacker for three runs to complete the comeback and secure the 6–5 win.
