MVB: Lasers Sweep Bulldogs 3-0
Newton, MA – The Lasell men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Dean College, securing the win with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-16. With the win, Lasell improved its record to 20-7 overall and 10-2 in conference play.
Lasell's offense was firing on all cylinders throughout the match, led by a stellar performance from Jasper Schultz, who recorded a team-high nine kills on just 11 attempts, finishing with an impressive .818 hitting percentage. Ryan Tierney also had a strong showing, contributing seven kills, one assist, and a solid .429 hitting percentage. The Lasers' offense was well-balanced, with six different players contributing to the team's 35 total kills.
The Lasers' defense was equally effective, as they kept Dean College under pressure throughout the match. Ryan Mesnik and Remy Cahalan anchored the Lasell defense with eight and 12 digs, respectively. The team also managed to total three blocks, limiting Dean's opportunities at the net.
On the serving side, Lasell recorded 12 aces, including three each from Ryan Tierney and Jasper Schultz, keeping the pressure on Dean College all night.
