WBB: Lasell Defeats Mitchell 76–65 on the Road

New London, CT- Lasell Lasers built a commanding lead through three quarters and held on late to secure a 76–65 victory over the Mitchell Mariners on Saturday afternoon.

Lasell set the tone early, outscoring Mitchell 22–12 in the opening quarter and maintaining control with a 45–26 halftime advantage. The Lasers continued to apply pressure after the break, winning the third quarter 21–13 to push the margin to 66–39 before weathering a fourth-quarter surge by the Mariners.

Blaize Mack led Lasell with a team-high 19 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Laura Johnson delivered a dominant performance on the glass with 24 rebounds to go along with 18 points. Abigail Duclos chipped in 14 points and four assists, and Hailey Johnson provided a spark off the bench with 10 points on efficient shooting. Lasell finished the afternoon shooting 44.8 percent from the field and held a decisive 57–27 rebounding advantage.
