WBB: Johnson, Mack Earn GNAC All-Conference Honors; Duclos Named to All-Sportsmanship Team
Newton, MA- The Lasell University women's basketball team saw three student-athletes recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with postseason honors, highlighted by senior Laura Johnson earning All-Conference First Team recognition.
Johnson earned First Team honors after leading the Lasers with 328 points while shooting 44.9 percent (137-305) from the field across 26 appearances. Johnson has been one of the top rebounders in the country, leading the NCAA in both total rebounds (497) and rebounds per game, while also contributing 41 assists, 51 steals, and nine blocks this season.
Junior Blaize Mack was named to the GNAC All-Conference Third Team after appearing in and starting all 26 games for the Lasers. Mack finished the season with 297 points while shooting 44.2 percent (115-260) from the field and 81.7 percent (58-71) from the free throw line. She also added 233 rebounds, 78 assists, 36 steals, and 22 blocks on the year.
Sophomore Abigail Duclos was recognized on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team after appearing in 25 games this season and serving as a consistent presence in the Lasers backcourt. Duclos logged 888 minutes on the court while contributing 268 points on the season.
