Lynch Sisters Receive NSCAA All-Region Honors
NEWTON, Mass. (12/05/14) – Seniors Bridget and Kayla Lynch (Dover, N.H.) have been placed on the 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women’s All-New England Regional Team.
NEWTON, Mass. (12/05/14) – Seniors Bridget Lynch (Dover, N.H.) and Kayla Lynch (Dover, N.H.) have been placed on the 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women's All-New England Regional Team. Bridget was elected on the first team, while Kayla was voted on the second team.
The Lynch sisters join Albertus Magnus sophomore Danielle Polvan (East Haven, Conn.) as the three Great Northeast Athletic Representatives on the squad.
The Dover, N.H. natives earned their spot on the roster after a notable 2014 season, leading the Lasers to their fifth conference championship. Bridget Lynch led the GNAC with 32 goals, 12 assists, and 76 total points, and was named Offensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive time. Kayla Lynch continued Lasell's defensive/midfield excellence, appearing in all 21 contests for the Lasers, adding seven goals and four assists.
This is the first year Bridget Lynch has been named on the first team, after securing a second team spot for the past two seasons. Kayla Lynch makes her second consecutive appearance on the squad, improving from last year's fourth team placement.
